What is the difference between the Yacht Club side and the Grand Large side?
When you make your booking, you can choose to take advantage of a unique location on either the Yacht Club side or the Grand Large side:
At what time can I take possession of my LodgeBoat?
On the day of arrival, we welcome you from 3pm until 6pm. When you leave, your LodgeBoat must be vacated by 11am.
What are the reception hours? Can I arrive after 6pm?
Our reception is open from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. L’équipage des îlots de Gruissan has a late arrival procedure which will be communicated to you by email and/or text message. Just let us know in advance.
Where can I park when I arrive?
When you arrive, go to 420 Avenue des 4 Vents in Gruissan (we are located between the Gendarmerie Maritime and the Aire de camping-car des 4 Vents, in the Port area). To access the Ilots, there is a car park with a barrier at the entrance. There is one space for each LodgeBoat.
Am I allowed to fish?
Fishing is permitted at the Ilots de Gruissan. Either from your terrace or from the pontoon, but always in front of your LodgeBoat.
Can I bring my dog?
Our animal friends are welcome on board, for a supplement of €15 per night, with a maximum of 1 animal per LodgeBoat.
Is it possible to have a toaster/hairdryer…?
Toasters, hairdryers, clothes rails, ironing boards and irons are available free of charge on request from reception. Please ask us before you arrive.
Is it possible to have a protective barrier for the terrace on the Grand Large side?
At your request, the crew can install a barrier free of charge on the terrace of the lodges on the Grand Large side. Please contact us before you arrive.
What type of coffee maker is there in the kitchen?
Each LodgeBoat has a Tassimo coffee maker and a kettle: pods are available for sale at reception. On your arrival, you will find 2 (or 4 if LodgeBoat Family) coffee pods and 2 Earl Grey tea bags in your kitchen.
Is it possible to recharge my electric car?
In the private car park on the islands, we have dedicated charging points for FRESHMILE electric vehicles (freshmile.com). Simply scan the QR code and follow the instructions on the application.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Access to the LodgeBoats is via a gangway (as you are boarding a boat). This gangway is dependent on the water level, with an uncontrolled slope depending on the tidal range. We are currently working with an association to study the next adaptations needed to guarantee access on board for people with reduced mobility, whatever the tidal range.
We have already welcomed a few PRM customers who have confirmed that we are close to achieving accessibility. Please let us know when you book so that we can provide you with a lodge close to the entrance. We can also provide you with a chair or stool to ensure maximum comfort for your shower. We advise you to select the Grand Large side, as access will be via the bay window.
Can I swim in front of my LodgeBoat?
No. We are subject to port regulations, under which swimming is not permitted in a port.
I’m afraid I’m going to get seasick. Does the LodgeBoat move?
The LodgeBoat is moored to a pontoon and weighted down at all 4 corners.
They are protected by a breakwater pontoon: it’s like being in a pond in the middle of the lake. At times, you may feel a little rocking, but nothing like a boat on the open sea.
My children can’t swim, is it dangerous? Are LodgeBoats suitable for families with young children?
For the little ones who can’t yet swim, we lend you lifejackets, which must be worn on the pontoons, when you’re out and about, where you need to be vigilant. For the rest, your child is safe in the LodgeBoat.
Where can I park my bike?
You can store them in complete peace of mind directly on the terrace of your LodgeBoat, or you can leave them in front of reception, with a padlock, if you wish.
Is there television in the LodgeBoats?
We favour the experience of disconnection, in this setting that lends itself so well to it.
The lodges are not equipped with TVs, but there is free wifi.
